About this speaker
I am a technologist, speaker, and investor in dual-use commercial defense technologies with over 25 years of experience in the field. I have a passion for delivering secure, timely, and cost-effective software capabilities to the Department of Defense (DoD) operators and warfighters, using modern practices and processes.
As the Chief Technology Officer at SBIR Advisors, I spearhead our strategic efforts in managing and nurturing an extensive portfolio of companies specializing in cutting-edge technologies such as AI, machine learning, DevOps, and cybersecurity. With an extensive background in technology and a deep understanding of the SBIR process, I am committed to driving innovation and achieving mission-critical outcomes for the warfighter.
I am an active member of the technology community, having served ten years on the board of directors for the International Association of Microsoft Channel Partners (IAMCP), San Antonio chapter, including three terms as president. I was also a board member of LEAD SA, the Technology Connexus Association, and the Advisory Council for Kaplan College. I was named an AFCEA International 40 under 40 winner, recognizing my achievements in technology and security. As Assistant VP of Corporate Affairs and Chair of the Small Business Subcommittee for the Alamo chapter of AFCEA, I continue to give back to the community and support the growth of small businesses in the region.
If you are looking for strategic input on how other agencies are embracing modern applications involving new languages and frameworks, microservices, and cloud (AWS/Azure/GCP) delivered via DevOps capabilities while leveraging a continuous authorization approach, I would be happy to connect with you.
Let's work together to transform the way the DoD delivers software capabilities to the mission.
